It’s the night before the kick off so I’m going to try to highlight the teams the best I can. I might miss a few though. (it’s important to note I’m not actually there, pretty far from it actually, so if stuff is wrong just hit me up and I’ll fix it).
Team Swampy Titty – For breast cancer and swampy awareness! Maitland Kelly is going to be doing a solo ride with Jeni Rae running chase/ event managing. He’s bringing the V1 swapped Motobecane 50V back but with a brand new Gila kit this time. This has been his long distance whip for the last couple races and here’s hoping
Team Chad Burke – A seasoned Bakers Dozen rider, Chad is riding solo this year with Patrick Hershberger driving chase. Chad, like always, is bringing a less than standard bike. This year its his Casal K-196 frame with a Malaguti fifty RV50! What a baller move. Let’s hope be brought spare parts.
Team Swoops – Consisting of just Jordan Melville, I’m not sure what he is riding. Or who is his chase if any. But I bet he’s going to have a good time.
Team Clark – Well, I’ll just let them tell you, “We are team clark, we picked our colors on the bike based on the old clark gas station colors. The team consists of Greg, Andrew and myself (Dylan) we are all family hence the team name, we are all from Michigan near Ann Arbor. This is our first year doing bakers we r riding a pinto derbi flatreed, we starting building the bike about 6 months ago and then went hard core building about the last month and doing finishing touches this week.”
Team T3: Resurrection – Consisting of Tyler Brekke, Tyler Rosonke, and Travis King had a hell of a journey getting ready for this years event. Tragedy struck on their first bike build, you can follow the journey over here. All veterans of moped track racing, and with Brekke having done Pinball Run II and Travis having completed Just The Tip, I am putting good odds on them doing well. They are now riding a backup Derbi, and they are still trucking on.
Team Cold Muffs – Jeramiah on the hobbit build. Amanda and Adrian chase
Dustin Staley. Tommy, and Blake are representing the Queen City Barons. They are running a Derbi and a Bye Bike.
Team Asian Amigos – Solo rider Jose Castanon is riding a derbi PP with a gila kit on what looks like a Diablo frame. He’s riding with support team who’s names I will try to get later
I’m trying to gather more info but if anything changes or I get more accurate information I’ll update it here. Good luck to all the people this year.
